Top most Firing IT companies in India

1 ) IBM — Right now this is the most firing company for IT
professionals. In the last 6 months, this company has fired nearly 20%
of their employees because of BG check and performance issues. This is
the most insecure company from an IT professional’s point of view. They
don’t have any strategic plans at HR policies regarding employee
security. No appraisals (maximum 10%).
2 )TCS — Previously its an government IT Company . Now a days TCS
alos becoming firing IT company. Recently they fired on 500
people.( the people below 2 years of experience) and TCS losts so
many projects recently( especially British Telecom Projects).
3 ) Accenture — This is second top most firing company. The firing rate
is around 5%. This depends upon outsourced projects; they have a unique
system where Accenture development centers around the world bid for a
project coming into the company. Currently Philippinescentre is taking
the cake and the Indian centers are in a firing mode.
4 ) WIPRO — Firing people with very frequent back ground checks and
firing them with out even experience letters and relieving letters (will
mention as terminated from services)but will promise the employees that
they will retain them. After the project is over they will fire away.
Will threaten of criminal cases against such employees if they oppose
the move and has also filed against some.
5 ) Intel — Recently joined the league. Running in heavy losses, hence
firing 3000 employees in the Banglore center in a phased out manner.
6 ) CTS — Has a steady firing policy (checking the Educational
background and previous employment and also employee performance in
work). In a Recent HCL walk-in, around 50% attendees were from this
company. Sadly the I-pods have not helped them.
7 ) CSC — Excellent package but fires folks in Background check and
those on bench regularly. Recently fired 400+ employees from its
subsidiary Covansys.
8 ) Satyam — Currently stopped firing. The Attrition rate is very high.
No firing from 2005 until now when 1000 employees were fired in
Hyderabad.
9 ) Patni —- They fired so many employees that currently they are
facing understaffing and deficiency with number of employees. Very high
attrition rate.
10 ) Keane India —- This USA based company is always involved in firing
employees. Although they proudly say that they dont have hire and fire
policy. Recently they fired java and as400 professionals after which
most of the employees have started to pack their bags. Employees change
this company within 1 year.
So take care before accepting offers from these companies. 8)

Tech Mahindra is worst company to work for mainly due to the reason that even after good performance & appreciation you will not come to know why & when u are being fired. Management sucks!!
Recently they are firing in Noida in big numbers. Two IDU Heads & 3 Delivery Managers have already been fired in Sep 2011 & many mid level senior developers and team leads have also been fired. Never Ever consider joining this company even if it means joining a small company instead of TechM. They have spoiled the work culture of Satyam also & have made it also a hire and fire company.

Yes, TechMahindra is one of the biggest hire & fire companies in IT is very true.
If you are a experienced guy never consider joining this organization even if they are willing to pay you double the amount of other company. It is now same as Sapient use to be earlier. For freshers they make you sign bond & depute you on useless projects with only documentation work to do & that too in night shifts with worst cab facilities (if your cab request is for 11:30 PM pls dont expect to get a cab before 2:00PM). Admin staff wont listen even to your Manager/SPM.
Above all the fact – Hire and Fire policy is very very true for this organization.

I affirm with above posts. TechMahindra is no more than a BODY SHOP. They treat their employees like tissue papers (use & throw). Happened with one of my colleague who had been working for last 2.5 years in my project & was a good performer. The reason manager told us that it is being done to save costs as his responsibilities will now be handled by ELTP (Entry Level Trainee 1.4 years experience guy whom he was training since last 2-3 months). I along with other senior members have now decided to leave these crooks before they spoil our lives.
Sharing this info so that they can not spoil the careers & lives of other experienced professionals in IT field. God Bless !!

Never join Corbus, a company located in NSEZ greater noida. Company has hire and fire policy and a very unstable company to work with. Total employee strength in IT is 125 approx after 15 that have been fired in May/08 and with the present rate of firing the employee strength is supposed to come down to 100 or lesser shortly.
Company was established in 1994 and today in 2008 number of clients they have is as high as “1″. So you can imagine how stable the company is.

Most of the information in this is wrong. Companies like Accenture do fire the employees who are really poor in performance. I found it really ridiculous when this non-sens authour says “They don’t have any strategic plans at HR policies regarding employee

Sorry boos but its true, mainly wipro has spoiled many good employees life. it has fired many of employees who got EE rating and even who earned lots of awards like feather in my cap, above and beyond. etc etc. wipro sucks…. never join wipro. its my advise to every fresher and ever experienced guy. wipro has fired almost 10000 to 15000 employees between 2008 june to till now.. thats the worst thing ever happend. never consider wipro as good company. I can clearly say that its work environment is good but its Management is worst. they say Polacies but they never follow. there is no value for knowledge and technical skills.just dont join wipro. its like hell. be catious.

I think most of the facts mentioned are straight out of your imagination.. if IBM had fired 20% of employees that would be pretty evident on News Channels and in Indian market… and jst bcoz u never got a increment more than 10% doesnt mean IBM has that policy..

Convergys is one of the most stable company in India. They shut down their Mumbai operations. apart from that there is no firing .

Company like infosys are taking safe route to fire employee on non perfromance basis. Because of of the people who were given promotion last year has been asked to leave the company on poor perfromance. This is simple redicoulous and how can a very good emplyee be non performer in a year. The clever company like Infosys are following this path so that their brand is not hampered in market. Government should question these company about their policy. I seriously doubt the result of Infosys. It might another satyam.

WIPRO TECHNOLOGIES never join ….. Its a big mess. you will spoil ur future if u join. WIPRO is a big fraud. it just fired many 1000s of employees saying that they dont have pf and bank statements from previous employers and thats after working for 2,3,4,5,6 years in wipro.
just imagin after working for this company for long time if they will give comments on ur releaving letter. what will be ur future?
it means the 5 years of exp is waste….
really if I get chance I will hang all those middle levele managers till death. bleady fuckers. their sins will pay off. they will suffer the pain some day.
I am ex employee of wipro, and what ever I am writing here is true…. wipro BVG team torchured me to accept that I dod fake. I never did fake, only reason they are asking me to accept this is that I dont have pf statement and bank statement. but my first compnay is a small company and they were not maintaining all these things even the pays were less at that time. I think now that company is good. Please dont join tech mahindra right now.They have most dumb management ever.The middle and upper management is full of donkeys and monkeys.You wont find any growth for your career.They dont provide number of domains to grow you up.Have some bull shit maintanence type of British Telecom project.With BT techM is street begger.Still in yearly news they use to publish some bluffs like we have revenue earning like 48:52 by eupropean and Asia Pacific country.
From 2008 onwards they have given some hundreds of rupees as salary hike.And for this year they still have not declared any hike and did nt amke any annoucement to do such.The managers are hitlers.The management is rubbish.and finally the king pin Vineet Nayer , he is most bullshit f***ing CEO all times ever.

Please dont join INFOSYS Tech. Ltd. There is no growth, no greet, Master-Slave kind of relationship with your manager,high politics internally and a pay structure with highly variable components. When they fire someone, a security gaurd will leave you out of premises immediately.You cant even go to your seat to collect your left overs. All this done quitely as to retain their fucking brand image (they afraid if this employee put a mail on public folder, our brand image will lost) Internal firing rate is much high. Apart from it, they do lot of mental torcher so that u will have to say finally I Quit. I am a live victim of it with 4 yrs exp. Managers/higher Management used to speak to u like in a SMALL ROADSIDE LALA COMPANY.

fact is it is mainly in India, this blood sucking managers utilize recession as business tool to manage profit….
recession means obvious:
reduction in project ; hence reduction incoming revenue channel
all over world( Out side INDIA ) : companies tried their best to keep employees ; but if not possible to make it further then they offered a pink slip,but called them back when market is up which ensure all of us know that : in recession company didn’t do well ,hence ppl lost jobs.
IN INDIA : this awesome managers; did opposite ; they through out employee providing non sense reason and screw their career as well their family. If we carefully see what they tried to portray : company is doing good even in recession ; only employee is bad
therefore can we conclude : managers were busy to fuck their wife & mothers for soo long …that they didn’t understand poor performance of their employee before recession , and in recession they got the magic eye …gift of fucking hard.
bottom line : bad event happened : outside india due to recession ; but in india due to awesome manager’s avarice
