Melkote Trip “A-One Community”

Melkote is a historic place situated around 130 KMs from bangalore. City was constructed during Hoysala period (Not sure about the date). Melkote located near Mysore in Karnataka houses an ancient shrine to Vishnu, worshipped as TiruNarayana. This shrine is known for its long standing association with the spiritual leader Ramanujacharya. Melkote is also known as Yadavagiri, yatistalam, Vedadri and Narayanadri a famous pilgrimage spot in Karnataka People who want to go for long drive this will also be an awesome drive too. Roads are just too good.

I was in Melkote couple of days back with Family. An excellent place but missed the Sanskrit Library esp. since wify is an Mphil in that subject
